Estimation of System Reliability in Multi- Component Series Stress-strength Models
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper, we estimate the reliability of series system with k components. We assume the strengths of these k components are subjected to a common stress which is independent of the strengths of the k components. If (X1, ..., Xk) are strengths of k components subjected to a common stress Xk+1, then the reliability of the series system or system reliability (R) is given by R = P [Xk+1 < Min(X1, ..., Xk)]. We estimate R when (X1, ..., Xk+1) follow (k+1) independent Gamma, Weibull and Pareto distributions. We also obtain the asymptotic normal(AN) distributions of these estimates.

A New Continuous Multi-State Reliability Model with Time Dependent Component Performance Rate
A CSS1†is a system with the continues-state components. When a component has the ability to obtain all the situations from completely working to completely failed, it named continues-state component. In the real world, performance rate of elements are continuous and decrease by time. Continuity of components causes infinite working states and grows up the system states. In this paper we propose...
متن کاملInference on Pr(X > Y ) Based on Record Values From the Power Hazard Rate Distribution
In this article, we consider the problem of estimating the stress-strength reliability $Pr (X > Y)$ based on upper record values when $X$ and $Y$ are two independent but not identically distributed random variables from the power hazard rate distribution with common scale parameter $k$. When the parameter $k$ is known, the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE), the approximate Bayes estimator and ...
متن کاملDynamic reliability evaluation for a multi-state component under stress-strength model
For many technical systems, stress-strength models are of special importance. Stress-strength models can be described as an assessment of the reliability of the component in terms of X and Y random variables where X is the random ”stress” experienced by the component and Y is the random ”strength” of the component available to overcome the stress. The reliability of the component is the probabi...

In this paper, we study different methods of solving joint redundancy-availability optimization for series-parallel systems with multi-state components. We analyzed various effective factors on system availability in order to determine the optimum number and version of components in each sub-system and consider the effects of improving failure rates of each component in each sub-system and impr...
متن کاملEstimation of Reliability in Multicomponent Stress-Strength based On Inverse Rayleigh Distribution
A multicomponent system of k components having strengths following k– independently and identically distributed random variables and each component experiencing a random stress Y is considered. The system is regarded as alive only if at least s out of k (s< k) strengths exceed the stress. The reliability of such a system is obtained when strength, stress variates are given by inverse Rayleigh d...
